Kultur och böcker - för start av bibliotek i Mwanza/ Culture and books - for start up of a library in Mwanza

Vi ordnade en Kulturkavalkad på Maxmo Torp. Inledde gjorde författartrion Christel Sundqvist, Josefine Nylund och Ann-Helen Attianese.
De läste sina egna texter och urvalet sammanflätades till en dialog. Övriga programmet bestod av talangfull ung musik och humor, lokalt och globalt.

We arranged Kulturkavalkaden at Maxmo Torp. First out were three writers, Christel Sundqvist, Josefine Nylund och Ann-Helen Attianese. They read from their own texts and the selection was beautifully weaved into a dialogue. The rest of the program was skilled musicians performing. Music and humour, local and global..

Intäkterna från evenemanget kommer att bli en startplåt till bibliotek i Mwanza. Detta gör vi först och främst för att stimulera läsande i Mwanza, men även för att hedra Timothy Timanywa, samarbetspartner i NIHEP, som så tragiskt gick bort senaste höst i en bilolycka. Att invånarna i Mwanza skulle få tillgång till böcker var en av hans stora visioner.

The revenues from the event will be a start up for a library in Mwanza. This in the first place to promote reading but also to honour Timothy Timanywa, cooperation partner in NIHEP, who so tragically passed away last year in a car accident. To bring access to books and reading in Mwanzawas one of  his greatest visions.
